Windermere 13: Bring me fun
A visit to Morecambe. A Bring Me Sunshine cocktail at the Midland Hotel ("Eileen Woodhouse created this heady mix of champagne, Pimms, orange juice and grenadine. So stand on one leg and enjoy the Eric Morecambe way"), then a KFC Zinger Burger meal (oops). Fianlly, back home for Philip's delicious carbonara.

Windermere 12: Philip's birthday
Birthday celebrations at the Mason's Arms. I had the spam fritters with homemade brown sauce, followed by a lovely bit of lamb with dauphinoise potatoes. My companion had the steak burger with chips and onion rings. Then back to the house for cake.
Windermere 10: The mobile office
Dealing with important correspondence and a slice of millionaire's shortbread in Grange-Over-Sands. Hot desking.
Windermere 9: Something beginning with "ch"
Cheesy beans for breakfast, chips at Bowness-On-Windermere, and lovely chilli for tea, cooked up by Log and based on the Leon cookbook recipe.
Windermere 7: Alfresco
A nice bit of quiche and a sausage roll from the butcher in Grange-Over-Sands and some salad, eaten in the garden of Barrow Wife.
Windermere 4: Load of old croque
A chip butty, a slightly grim croque monsieur and a club sandwich at the disappointing Woolpack Inn.

Windermere 1: Friday night & Saturday morning
We went away to the Lake District for a week, and stayed here. Chips for tea on the first night, then Andy made a fry-up for breakfast the following morning. Lovely.

The Coffee Mill
Beans on toast, a nice cup of tea and a magazine that it was impossible to read while eating at The Coffee Mill, in the precinct below King's Reach Tower. Think of the IPC sub-editors that have eaten lasagne and chips in that place over the years...
