Wild boar pie and mash at The Tommyfield in Kennington. It had a little pastry pig on the top of it.

Pork/pie

A nice couple of pork chops, followed by a lovely apple and blackberry pie with low-fat icecream. Low-fat! I know. Wow.

Pig pie & shark sandwich

A really, really delicious ham hock and pea pie at the Three Kings, Clerkenwell. Amazing. Then our team, Shark Sandwich, came third in the pub quiz. Not bad, really.

Christmas Eve. Poached eggs at Canteen then lentil chilli and banoffee pie at Marc & Sam's house, a meat-free start to the holidays.

Prize gala

A slice of gala pie with some tangy homemade plum chutney and lovely chunky piccalilli, pre-quiz sustenance at the Vauxhall Griffin. Recommended!
