A postcard from Nottingham

Oops, soz. I haven't updated this blog for ages. I'd like to say it's because I've been on holiday all summer, but really it's because I've been all busy like. Pig pie & shark sandwich

A really, really delicious ham hock and pea pie at the Three Kings, Clerkenwell. Amazing. Then our team, Shark Sandwich, came third in the pub quiz. Not bad, really.

Healthy competition

A cheese burger, potato salad and a halloumi kebab at the spectacular Wine Vs Cheese Vs Pie Vs Mash yesterday.

A tomato and emmental toasted sandwich PLUS potato salad PLUS crisps at Concrete.

Windermere 12: Philip's birthday

Birthday celebrations at the Mason's Arms. I had the spam fritters with homemade brown sauce, followed by a lovely bit of lamb with dauphinoise potatoes. My companion had the steak burger with chips and onion rings. Then back to the house for cake.

Home grown

A roast dinner, cooked by my dad. The beans were grown in the back garden.
